In December 2025, the Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD) signed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), to demonstrate its support for responsible and appropriate assessment of legal research, reinforcing our commitment to promoting quality, transparency, and fairness in legal research evaluation.

This step aligns with the CALD Statement on Legal Research which affirms our dedication to supporting rigorous scholarship and equitable assessment practices across the legal academic community.
